Hayley McSporran is a contemporary womenswear brand focused on the construction of an interchangeable, sculptural wardrobe. Modernity, minimalism and functionality are at the foundation of the brand. CAPSULE 001 plays with volume and has a contemporary approach to the female form creating sculptural silhouettes. There is a twist on functionality throughout the pieces and the palette is muted along with unnecessary elements to focus on the minimalistic cuts and beautiful properties of the fabric. Foam-like scubas are combined with coated cottons and unusual technical fabric which inform the understated surfaces and soft architectural shapes.
Nadia - Studio is an accessories brand that creates soft, tactile luxury goods with an industrial edge. They employ a forward-thinking design process that uses colour, line and shape to create statement pieces that work for any occasion. Their latest AW collection plays with proportion, colour and surface texture. Introducing a series of striking bags in their signature velvets, this collection looks to hyperbolic Bollywood set design of the 1960’s for inspiration. Imaginative use of embellishment and quilting have been incorporated into contemporary shapes that can be worn everyday.
Rosella May is the fresh and pioneering voice bridging the space between creativity and social issues, through a denim-focused lens. The young designer created her eponymous brand during her time as a denim designer for Calvin Klein in Amsterdam, and for SS19, has collaborated with Scottish Association for Mental Health, on the 'Stigma' collection. Through her design work, Rosella seeks to highlight the stigma that surrounds mental health and incite conversations, to begin to break down negative perceptions and misunderstandings.
